San Mateo Youth Softball Association is committed to providing the opportunity for all children to have a fun, safe, competitive, and learning environment, where every child plays.
We will open our registrations to children between 5 and 16 years of age, and strive to keep the costs reasonable to all.
We are committed to creating a partnership with parents of players and improving community participation. We will encourage competition and at the same time emphasize skill development, fair play and an equal opportunity for all participants.
We will strive each year to pick fair and balanced teams in order to make play more competitive and to give everyone an equal chance.
We will identify coaches who are positive and knowledgeable and that will be encouraging and supportive of the league’s players, volunteers, parents, umpires and fellow coaches. We will develop coaches and players by instilling qualities of commitment, teamwork, sportsmanship, self confidence, discipline and respect for others.
We will establish and enforce Codes of Conduct for our coaches, managers and parents that provide guidelines on what is expected of each while participating in league activities.
San Mateo Youth Softball Association honors the idea that first and foremost the league exists for the benefit of our children.
