ASTA is Northside Independent School District's only Agriculture Science and Technology Magnet Program, providing for students attending district-wide. Students study for a future education and careers in a diverse variety of agriculturally-related occupations. The purpose of our event is to support our students achieving success in leadership, skill-building, competition and personal growth. ASTA FFA students are the future in environmental study, farming, ranching, horticulture, food production, fiber and natural resources. The majority of our students progress to higher education, however ASTA is not just focused on the college-bound student. Our students gain certifications, apprentice opportunities and hands-on experience to provide an early start in promising trade careers and businesses.
Your support will go towards competition fees, scholarships, livestock, veterinary and welfare projects not covered by the school district. Over 600 community members, students and parents attend the event each year. Gift cards are made into individual gift baskets with business logos prominently displayed as well as in our Program, Websites, Social Media and school-wide newsletter.
