Thompson Elementary School has held a positive presence within your immediate community for more than ten years.
This year Thompson PTA proudly invites you to help us as we continue to make a favorable difference in the lives of
children by committing to foster their endless potential for great success!
At Sandra Lee Thompson, we believe the foundation for any successful community exists in the collaborative
efforts of its local businesses, educational facilities and family networking systems. We are better together. With one team,
one vision, one mission, we can collectively commit to a sense of lifelong learning through service, challenge and
excellence within our school to ensure our students become responsible, productive citizens of a diverse society.

Following this common goal, The PTA at Thompson sponsors a variety of programs that unite and encourage
kinship among parents, students, educators and fellow community members. With your support, we can continue to
supplement teacher, student and school-specific needs for classroom, literacy, music, arts, physical education and
advancing technology. We aid in initiatives such as Teacher Appreciation, Family Involvement and Nevada Reading weeks.
Additionally, the PTA funds various field trips, enrichment programs, and hosts events that may not otherwise be available
to some of the children within a Title 1 distinguished school like Thompson. These events include Fall Festival, Spring
Fling, Parents and Pastries, Movie Nights, and many more that promote and extend beyond a formidable and fun teaching
and learning environment.
