The Santa Monica Police Activities League (PAL) is a unique community organization that fosters trust between youth and the men and women of the Santa Monica Police Department in a safe and nurturing environment. PAL helps to develop skills and self-esteem through outstanding educational, cultural, recreational, and outreach programs. 

PAL’S Educational Component: Supports the Chris Carrey PAL Education Fund by providing scholarships; supports stipends and fees for tutoring and contractual classes in STEAM college preparation studies; funds materials and supplies for K-8 educational programs; provides homework assistance and computer enrichment.

PAL’S Leadership Component: Supports programs focused on fostering mutual understanding, respect, civic engagement as well as personal growth. Provides funding for youth leadership training, workshops, retreats, and conferences.

PAL’s Physical Fitness/Healthy Living Component: Support fitness activities including running, basketball, and other sports; funds fitness equipment, required apparel for children (shoes and shirts), and stipends for class instructors.
