SAY San Diego opened its doors in 1971 with one paid employee, a small budget, and one big goal: to help struggling youth turn their life around. Since then, SAY San Diego has evolved into a high-impact nonprofit delivering 30 distinct programs, serving individuals prenatally through adulthood. SAY San Diego’s mission is to partner with youth, adults, families, and communities to reach their full potential, with a vision of opportunity, equity and well-being for all San Diegans. The organization’s programs and services range from parenting education and before and after school programs to behavioral/mental health services and basic needs assistance. A team of 286 highly qualified and skilled staff, backed by a $22+ million budget and scores of service partners, positively transform the lives of more than 30,000 individuals annually.
