Once home to Libby's Canning factory back in the early 1900's, the Schauer Arts and Activities Center is a hidden jewel in the heart of Hartford, WI. As a non-profit 501(c)3 our mission is to develop, support, and promote the arts by providing experiences that inspire creativity and connect people.
Here at the Schauer Center, we educate over 16,000 students in grades 4k - 12 through our curriculum based Schooltime matinees; entertain more than 25,000 patrons with our professional performing Arts Series that brings art and culture to Hartford; train over 1700 students of all ages, levels and visions in dance, theater, music and visual art as part of the Schauer School of the Arts, as well as expand horizons with community outreach activities that make the arts accessible to everyone.
