School 30 PTA is a powerful voice for all children, a relevant resource for families and communities, and a strong advocate for the education and well-being of every child. School 30 PTA advocates for our school community, children and families on a state level to lobby for additional funding for our school district.
Yonkers schools are overcrowded and underfunded. We are a pre-k through eighth grade school. We are both a racially and financially diverse district. Our school has approximately a 50/50 ratio of boys to girls. Forty-five percent (45%) of our student population is economically disadvantaged. All proceeds from this event go directly to our children by allowing us to bring additional educational and enrichment tools into our school, which include anti-bullying & DEI assemblies, as well as science, art, and environmental programs. Our goal as a PTA is to fight for all of our children to have access to the best education possible. While many things are beyond our control, we believe that we can enhance the students’ education and overall social well-being while in our school building by bringing in these programs. The more we can do for our children at school, the more successful our school and students will be.
