Our school implements a school-wide system of Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS). PBIS is designed to teach students pro-social skills and to promote behaviors consistent with a positive and safe learning environment. The acronym H.E.R.O. stands for being Helpful, giving Effort, being Respectful, and being On-task.
The PBIS program provides education on social-emotional learning, data collection and consistent discipline practices, and rewards for elementary students and staff members. This program not only benefits students and staff in the school, but it also benefits the community by teaching and reinforcing the pro-social skills children will need to be productive citizens. Your participation promotes the school-home-community connection.
