The Scleroderma Foundation of Greater Chicago exists to serve the intrests of scleroderma patients with a three-fold mission of support, education, and research. We support scleroderma patients by offering them physical referrals, access to clincial trials, fostering support groups, and holding community events. We also host education events for both physicians and for patients. These education conferences and webinars empower patients to take control of their journey with scleroderma. Lastly, we fundraise for scleroderma research, both for treatments and for an ultimate cure. Scleroderma is a life-threatening autoimmune disease in which the body attacks its own tissue. It causes hardening of the skin and severe damage to internal organs.
