The Scott Credit Union Community Foundation was established early in 2018 to strengthen Scott Credit Union’s commitment to our communities. The SCU Community Foundation was created to expand the reach and our ability, leveraging our existing community involvement, to give back to the communities we serve through a charitable foundation.
The SCU Community Foundation was established with two primary focuses: the annual golf tournament fundraiser that benefits the community and the establishment of an education grant program to support initiatives at area schools. One hundred percent of the proceeds raised by the SCU Community Foundation will be donated back into our communities.
Mission: To support charitable, educational, religious, or scientific purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, including, without limitation, providing financial support to local schools to provide scholarships to graduation seniors for their first year of post-secondary education, as well as provide financial support to local charities in Edwardsville and surrounding areas in which the Corporation serves.
