Despite our challenges this year, including an increase in abandoned, injured, surrendered, and pregnant cats, Scruffy Paws Animal Rescue remains steadfast in our mission to provide the most humane care to every cat and kitten in our shelter and foster homes. As one of Rhode Island's few true no-kill shelters, your sponsorship or donation can make a significant difference. It will enable us to continue offering safe and affordable spay/neuter services, along with our TNR, rescue, and adoption efforts, ensuring the well-being of more cats in need. With the rising costs and limited availability of veterinarian care, we have been a leader in partnering with local animal control officers and other shelters in the state to provide the community cats with much-needed care. 2024 has been a busy year so far. SPAR has rescued 191 cats. 325 have been spayed and neutered, 106 have been adopted into loving homes, and 15 have been part of our Trap, Neuter, Release (TNR) program.
