Second City Canine Rescue is so proud to be celebrating years of life-saving responsible rescue and adopting out over 6,500 dogs! Our dogs and pups come from throughout the Chicagoland area, as well as several high kill shelters in some other states. We ensure that every dog receives excellent care (including costly veterinary care) and that all breeds, ages, sizes, and colors are welcomed and loved. At SCCR, we believe dog adoption should be widely available, so we set our adoptionfees at reasonable rates that do not cover all that we spend on each dog.
