Did you know that in Canada, 58% of all food that is produced is tossed away? Meanwhile, 6.7 million Canadians rely on community food programs. That’s why our goal at Second Harvest is to ensure that food ends up where it belongs – on the plates of Canadians and out of our landfills. We rescue good food from across the supply chain and redistribute it to our network of frontline agencies. Food waste costs Canada $49 billion a year, while 5.4 million Canadians struggle to put food on the table. We need your help.
