The mission of Seed Art Share is to create community through interactive theatre productions, arts education, and parent-artist support programs.

Our performances are unique in that instead of a traditional stage, we use spaces such as community gardens, historical homes, parks, or even the streets of downtown Raleigh. Performances include "Moving Pieces", "The Miracle Worker "Moving Pieces II", “The Many Adventures of Peter Rabbit”, “Trick or Treat Mr. McGregor”.

Our education programs provide affordable options for families including workshops, camps, or weekly classes teaching theatre skills, arts-integrated STEM and humanities classes, and currently have over 120 students enrolled.  Share the Show matinee programs include drama workshops that reinforce the history, setting, and theme of featured plays. We have created live and virtual content for field trips and events for the NC Museum of History, City of Raleigh Museum, and Raleigh’s Historic Sites. These and other partners have supported our mission to employ theatre arts to amplify academic content.

Many Seed teams and patrons have full-time jobs and families. While these duties often make traditional theatre schedules difficult, they also add experiences from which to draw as storytellers. We seek to model accessibility to caregivers. Since 2010 we have offered our show-themed Share the Show matinee program for patron's children at Raleigh theatres including The Justice Theater Project, The Women's Theatre Festival, Burning Coal Theatre, and Pure Life Theatre,. “Seedlings'' caregivers also offer affordable, onsite secure childcare to local theatre workers for kids ages 0-11. To attract excellent Seed artists, we aim to provide: flexible rehearsal schedules, triangulated rehearsal locations, role sharing, childcare, and company meals on show days. We encourage their families to volunteer and have previously provided supervised arts-integrated “family inclusion projects” for kids to explore the topics of the stories their parents are rehearsing.
