At SELF Inc., we aim to motivate, empower, and inspire individuals to live their best lives through various programs and services. We lead with integrity and are committed to serving our community with accountability, compassion, dignity, and respect. With integrity as our core value, we use evidence-based programming to drive personal and community transformation. As leaders in developing effective programs for Philadelphia's homeless population, we continuously seek innovative solutions to end homelessness and enhance service delivery within the city's emergency shelter system.
Service sites include the Ife Wellness Center, Susquehanna House, Station House, Outley House, Safe Haven, and the Michael Hinson Resource Center. SELF, Inc. also offers permanent supportive housing through Miss. Barbara's House/L.y.P.H.T., Ujima House, and SELF+Cooperative. Miss Barbara's House and L.y.P.H.T. (Leading Youth to Permanent Housing Today) are part of SELF's initiatives in Philadelphia, providing temporary and rapid rehousing support to young people ages 18-24 experiencing homelessness. Teh Michael HInson Resource Center offers educational, employment, and supportive services, in addition to a daytime respite where participants are able to shower and wash their clothing.
SELF, Inc. also offers Peer and Mobile Outreach and has a Food Cupboard & Food Distribution were a two-week supply of food is given to those experiencing food insecurity.
