Since 1936 Seneca Gospel Mission has been working to create a better tomorrow for underserved youth and their families. Through education, guidance and mentoring we help equip and empower disadvantaged youth with knowledge and skills needed to make healthier life choices. Our programming improves self-esteem, social competence and avoidance of problem and high risk behaviors. Current programming includes: "Building Urban Gardeners" (BUG) - teaches and provides kids with first hand experience in gardening and healthy eating. "Reading Camp" - Fun and entertaining reading and writing exercises for those who are falling behind. "Teen Life Club" - Social activities and life skills group. "Vacation Bible School" - Christian education through a variety of enriching activities. "Seneca Stree Community Garden" - provides a learning lab for our BUG program and produces naturally grown nutricious food for the community. "Rise Teen Work Readiness" - Teaching teens the soft job skills needed to secure and maintain employment. "Sunday Meal Ministry" - Providing over 12,000 homemade hot meals a year for those in need. Seneca Gospel Mission has demonstrated love and grace to over 10,000 children and families thus far.
