Sequoia Parents Nursery School offers families in the Bay Area a low-cost, play-based, parent-participation preschool where children, parents, and teachers are fully involved in an interactive process of learning. Through its affiliation with Sequoia District Adult Education, the preschool provides coaching and support by way of teacher-facilitated discussions based on parents' observations and an array of parenting topics including positive discipline, effective communication, child growth, and development, handling transitions, limit-setting, and more.
Our approach to early learning is rooted in developmentally appropriate, play-based values. We believe play is the work of children and it is through play that children learn and make sense of the world. Our preschool provides a rich, hands-on learning environment fostering the whole child -intellectually, physically, socially, and emotionally.
