Last year, Sharp HealthCare provided more than $500 million in community benefit programs and services. This amounts to more than 1 million dollars a day, and to one of every $9 of our net revenue being spent in direct support of the community.
Sharp HealthCare is the San Diego region’s most comprehensive not-for-profit healthcare organization. Today, Sharp HealthCare includes four acute-care hospitals, three specialty hospitals (including Sharp Chula Vista Medical Center), and three affiliated medical groups plus a full spectrum of other facilities and services. Sharp provides the full continuum of care to the residents of Chula Vista, from wellness and education programs to skilled nursing, home health, and hospice. Sharp is widely known for its centers of excellence in cardiac care, cancer care, women’s care, trauma services, transplant services, orthopedics/neuroscience services, rehabilitation, behavioral and senior services.
