We, citizens of the community which lies in and near the Town of Sharptown, Wicomico County, State of Maryland, being aware of a need and desire for the forming of an organization to protect our life and property from injury, and loss by fire or like hazard, do hereby organize and form such an organization for that purpose. This organization shall protect the life and property, and promote the welfare of all citizens within our community from such losses.
