Shorewood HUGS is a non-profit, all volunteer, women's organization located in Shorewood, Illinois. We were founded in 2008 by a group of 5 moms that wanted to give back to the community in which they raised their children. Our main focus is to provide wishes for those living within a 20 mile radius of Shorewood that are in need, deserving, or disabled. Our mission is to make a positive impact to those residing in our community and surrounding communities, one hug at a time. We do this by hosting unique events to fund our HUGS & Wishes program. We also support other local non-profit organizations, and provide several scholarships to local students throughout the year. Our wishes program is the heart of our organization and to date we have fulfilled close to 1100 wishes, giving back $750,000 to our local communities.
