Sierra Foothill Conservancy is a local land trust working to conserve the grasslands, foothills and forests of the Central Sierra Nevada. Our focus is on working rangeland, scenic open space, critical habitat, and protecting water resources, and connecting people to the outdoors in Fresno, Madera, Mariposa and Merced counties. In 2022 we engaged over 7,000 visitors on SFC protected lands through guided hikes and outdoor classes, elementary school field trips (over 80% of student participants come from surrounding disadvantaged communities), scientific research, university field work, and muchmore.

Since our inception in 1996, we are proud to have conserved over 52,000 acres in our region and appreciate the contributions that make this work possible. We are committed to promoting a sense of place for foothill and valley residents, with land conservation providing continued education and outreach opportunities in our communities for participants of all ages and abilities.  We are governed by a board of directors.
