Mission
We touch and save lives every day by helping Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital deliver superior healthcare through outreach programs, education, state-of-the-art technology and facilities by means of philanthropy and volunteerism.
Since 1984, SNMH Foundation has served our community by ensuring funding for critical care equipment is available for our Hospital. Working with our community, we have provided support for almost every department of the hospital including the cancer center, cardiac department, women’s imaging department, family birth center, stroke center and more. Without this support, our hospital may not have some of the cutting-edge equipment and technology it has today.
Since 1958, Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital has offered comprehensive health care and a full-range of medical services to western Nevada County. The hospital promotes healing and wellness, as well as advocating for those in need by delivering compassionate, high-quality health care to the people of our community. As the only acute critical care hospital in the region, SNMH has worked hard to address community needs and provide life-saving and emergency services for over 75,000 local residents. In recent times, our hospital was put to the test 24/7 managing care during COVID-19, three significant local fires between June 2020 and August 2021, as well as numerous planned and unplanned power outages.
