The Mu Iota chapter of The Sigma Chi fraternity at The University of Texas at San Antonio is about to host their Annual Derby Days. We are proud to say that this time-honored event throughout the Sigma Chi community has
seen steady growth over the past few years here at UTSA. Derby Days is our largest philanthropy event of the year
and all proceeds benefit the Huntsman Cancer Institute. The Huntsman Cancer Institute was founded by John
Huntsman, who was a Sigma Chi that beat cancer 6 different times before recently passing away. Our brotherhood
has been working with the Huntsman Cancer Foundation since 2021 and has raised over $10,000.
Derby Days is a week-long event where sororities and other organizations compete in different events and activities
to accumulate points. At the end of the week, a trophy will be awarded to the team with the most points. Yes, there
is competition involved, but there are activities that raise money such as a raffle, penny wars, event entry fees,
community fundraiser, donation pages and more! Derby Days is set for April 1st through the 6th of 2024 and we
have been preparing to make it the best one yet. No other Fraternity in the nation has pledged more money to their
philanthropy than Sigma Chi has. Our chapter has a goal of $20,000 in sight for this year.

Derby Days is raising money for, The Huntsman Cancer Foundation! We are seeking money donations to benefit the
Huntsman Cancer Institute as well as products from your company to not only get YOUR name out, but also to help
