Our mission is to offer hope, help, and healing to those affected by sexual violence and exploitation. We offer prevention, education, advocacy, and counseling services to strengthen the work of ending sexual violence in Clark County.

Signs of HOPE was originally founded in 1974 as the Community Action Against Rape (CAAR) by Las Vegas locals, Florence McClure and Sandra Petta. McClure and Petta were outraged by the lack of resources and respect for survivors of sexual assault and their loved ones.

Mrs. McClure originally ran SOH out of her home, with the goal of helping those in Clark County heal from the trauma of sexual violence and human trafficking. Her dedication and vision continue to inspire us today. Signs of HOPE’s purpose is to ensure that victims of sexual assault and human trafficking have the support and resources they need to move through the process of healing.

Signs of HOPE is committed to making an impact through the core services of:

Prevention, Education & Outreach
Crisis Response
Long-term Advocacy
Counseling

Our work emphasizes service to those affected by sexual violence and exploitation. We aim to change attitudes and spark conversations in our communities, with the goal of ending the epidemic of sexual violence.
Signs of HOPE has proudly been serving Southern Nevada for over 50 years.
