We are a grassroots organization of sexual assault victims, survivors and allies dedicated to helping those in our committees who have also been affected by sexual violence by offering unique opportunities for empowerment, and involving the entire community in the effort to end sexual violence.
Our mission is to support, empower and advocate for sexual assault victims and survivors through the creation of safe spaces for survivors to share their story in creative ways, to provide survivors, allies and advocates the skills required to organize and advocate for themselves and others, and to dismantle stereotypes and erode the systemic causes of sexual violence through awareness, education and the legislative process.
We believe that freedom from violence against our bodies is a fundamental human right which can only be achieved through awareness, education and open and honest dialogue. We believe in providing sexual assault victims and survivors with opportunities to make their voices heard. We believe in treating all individuals with dignity, compassion and respect, and working for equality and empowerment of all.
We provide creative expression programs such as poetry, painting and mixed media art to give clients the opportunity to share their stories in ways that are more comfortable. We also a provide jewelry making program which not only allows us to raise funds, but clients find the amount of focus required allows them to reduce the severity or stop an anxiety attack before it can take hold. We provide advocacy services, referral services, community outreach and awareness events, educational and training workshops as well curriculum design and a speakers bureau. Currently we focus on residents in Middle TN, however we plan to expand into East and West TN by 2027.
