Simon House is a nonprofit agency that provides emergency shelter to homeless women who are pregnant or have children as well as homeless individual adult women and men. Shelter services are provided in a safe, stable, healthy, and barrier-free environment.  Our primary goal is to help homeless clients obtain permanent housing and to support them and connect them with mainstream community resources as they stabilize in that housing.  Further, Simon House provides assistance to extremely low-income families in its service area.  Our primary goal for low-income clients is to provide them with essential items (food, clothing, baby needs, cleaning supplies, hygiene products) so that their limited financial resources can be applied to their housing needs, thus preventing them from experiencing the trauma of becoming homeless.  We strive to help clients become self-sufficient and productive members of our community.  Simon House primarily serves clients from Franklin County, Kentucky.  Clients from adjacent Kentucky counties also are served, and if space and resources are available, clients from other parts of Kentucky may be served.
