There are countless people all over the world who have been isolated from daily life or have been abandoned at birth and discarded because they were born different. Smile Network believes no one deserves this fate. Smile Network serves children born with cleft lip and palates, providing surgical care, free-of-charge.
We can correct so huge a problem for so little. For just $500, a life is changed with a life-altering surgery. Since its inception, Smile Network has repaired more than 4,000 smiles in 13 countries on five continents. Smile Network volunteers give their time and talent to make the work a reality. Through the generosity of our donors and volunteers, Smile Network can give the priceless gift of dignity.
We are obsessively prudent with our donors' money. The American Institute of Philanthropy rates as "highly efficient" any organization that spends 75% or more of its total expenses on charitable programs. Our audited financial statements show that Smile Network consistently spends 80% - 89% on program services.
