The Solar Preparatory School for Girls, a Dallas public school founded in 2016. We serve socio-economically diverse student base. Led by award-winning and competitively selected faculty and administration employing a research-driven educational model design that is tailored to how scholars learn best and delivers for its students the dual mission of STEAM-focused academic acceleration and social and emotional learning that prepares them to be effective leaders in the real world and beyond their years at Solar.
Its vision is to prepare scholars for success in a challenging, nurturing, and inclusive performance-based learning environment. Solar Prep’s mission is to be an inclusive school community empowering scholars to live and lead with confidence and purpose.
The Solar Prep Girls Parent Teacher Associationwas established in the Spring of 2023. It is comprised of Solar families, Solar staff, and extended community members committed to supporting our school and our scholars through generous contributions of time, talent, and financial giving.
Solar Prep Girls PTA is committed to supporting our school and we know you are, too. Parents, grandparents, guardians, and teachers that wish to help our school and scholars can ALL join the Solar Prep Girls PTA!
The purposes of Solar Prep Girls PTA are:
to promote the welfare of children and youth in home, school, places of worship, and throughout the community;
to raise the standards of home life;
to advocate for laws that further the education, physical and mental health, welfare, and safety of children and youth;
to promote the collaboration and engagement of families and educators in the education of children and youth;
to engage the public in united efforts to secure the physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, and social well-being of all children and youth; and
to advocate for fiscal responsibility regarding public tax dollars in public education funding.
The purposes of National PTA, Texas PTA and this PTA are promoted through advocacy and education in collaboration with parents, families, teachers, educators, students, and the public; developed through conferences, committees, projects, and programs.
