Rainbow School is one of the longest running not-for-profit early childcare centers in the Kansas City metro area. Since our founding in 1982, we have earned an outstanding reputation for the quality nurturing care we provide for infants and toddlers, as well as our popular and enriching summer school age program, Over the Rainbow. We celebrate diversity and inclusion, offering scholarships for children in grades K-6 who may otherwise be unable to attend a summer enrichment program.
Rainbow School annually serves more than 300 students in its nursery, preschool, and summer programs. We follow a nationally recognized play-based, nature-focused curriculum. We are one of only 2 nationally certified Nature Explore Classrooms in Kansas City, MO, a designation we are very proud of.
