The Mission of the South Georgia Technical College Foundation is to improve the image of South Georgia Technical College; to expand the awareness of the college, to provide opportunities fr more students to attend the college through scholarships and other forms of assistance; to procure special equipment; to upgrade present physical facilities; and to improve programs and recognition for South Georgia Technical College, a state owned and operated residential school. SGTC is a predominately black instruction that serves a rural, economically disadvanged region in southwest Georgia. SGTC's mission is to provide workforce education.
The college has a 99% job placement rating for graduates. The SGTC Foundation has an annual fund drive and will be hosting a silent auction for employees to raise funds for scholarships, provide textbooks at no cost to students, and equipment for technical programs.
