Strong local schools build strong communities. We would like to count on your support for our annual Spring Benefit to raise funds for your Chicago Downtown neighborhood public school, South Loop Elementary.
Plans for the benefit are well underway. On the evening of May 17, 2019, parents, faculty, friends and neighborhood leaders will come together to celebrate the end of the school year with our main fundraising event for the year. The evening will feature hors d’oeuvres with cocktails, entertainment and an outstanding Silent Auction.
Our fundraising goal for this event is to raise $50,000.00 to fund technology upgrades, software, student incentives, instructional materials, teacher professional development, and classroom supplies. State funding in Chicago Public Schools is dwindling and due to this, the school had to eliminate staff positions and student educational resources/items in the last few years. Our fundraising efforts play a key role in the success of all of our 700 plus students as there is a decline in the available resources every year. With the contributions from parents, friends and local companies and leaders like YOU, we are able to put excellence within the reach of Chicago’s young learners in the South Loop community.
