South OC Hybrid Homeschool is a 501(c)(3) non-profit learning center which offers an alternative option to traditional schooling for families and students. The mission of South OC Hybrid Homeschool (SOCHH) has always been to create a small group learning environment for students, many of whom typically fall through the cracks in a traditional classroom setting. These students are the bottom 10% of standardized testing who have no IEP or 504 who by and large are neuro- typical kids who are falling through the cracks of an inflexible system OR the top 5% of their class who are not being challenged. All of what we do is designed to serve this niche, however we welcome everyone in between as well, because we know that any and every student can benefit from this model. We provide instruction in MATH, LANGUAGE ARTS/ LITERATURE, & SOCIAL STUDIES. Our goal at SOCHH is to place the emphasis on small group learning. This allows our teachers to work with students at their level, moving them up & down in groups as needed according to skill rather than age or grade.
