The Pumpkin Patch is a fun family event where the community is invited to the South Elementary School to participate in events such as a game room, cake walk, haunted house, nail painting, arts and crafts, bake sale, food concessions, raffles and a silent auction. The Pumpkin Patch event is the Parent-Teacher Organization’s (PTO) largest fundraiser of the year. This event represents close to one quarter of the annual fundraising efforts of the PTO.  This year our fundraising goal for the Pumpkin Patch is $10,000.

The South Elementary School PTO is a recognized 501(c)3 organization. The money raised at this event will go to fund, support, enhance and encourage the educational and social environment of the South Elementary School.  The PTO seeks to complement the students’ educational experience with additional opportunities to learn, socialize, and grow. The funds raised by the PTO are used to fund many activities including school-wide programming, in-class programming, buses for field trips, Scholastic Weekly Readers, provide communication folders to students, and fund teacher/staff grants to help support classroom needs.
