ABOUT US

The Southeast Dallas Youth Foundation was established in January 2004. The volunteers of our organization decided to create this opportunity due to the overwhelming need to create an environment that provides a source of inspiration to youth. The primary objective of our organization is to provide low-income youths the opportunity to participate in organized and structured indoor/outdoor related activities that promote positive interpersonal relationships, develop self-esteem and teach necessary social skills to function in today's society. The Southeast Dallas Youth Foundation also gives this generation of youth an opportunity to realize their potential by promoting educational, recreational, social, emotional and spiritual development. Our program also offers an after school mentoring program that tutors the students that are having problems in their classes and with other school and family issues.

Since most of the children that participate in our program come from underprivileged, single family homes, the concept and primary goal of what our organization does becomes even more important to their overall success.

Mission Statement

To provide quality programs for children ages 5 to 18 years of age that promote the development of skills that youth must have in order to reach their full potential as contributing members of society, with a primary focus on low and moderate-income children.
