The SEJSCC is a 501(C)3 non-profit organization preserving and sharing our Japanese heritage and its traditions with the community through cultural, educational and social activities. providing support and services to communities in Los Angeles and Orange County with programs in Japanese language instruction, judo(wrestling), kendo(fencing), taiko drums, hula, ikebana (Japanese flower arrangement), basketball youth programs as well as events for our wonderful senior community.
We welcome everyone, irrespective of race or religion. Each group offers a variety of engaging activities year-round, aimed at instilling in our younger members the values of community service, fostering group involvement, and promoting teamwork. The ripple effect is significant, with many of our high school students and long-time supporters returning annually to our cultural festival, relishing in the celebrations and reconnecting with old acquaintances.
