Southwest Montessori Academy is a private, non-profit Pre-K – Kindergarten school in Fort Wayne. SMA opened its doors in 2013 with 8 children and is now at capacity serving 40 students. Our program is popular because it is based on the Montessori principle that learning is initiated by a child’s curiosity and exploration. When curiosity is encouraged, children are self-motivated to learn and become life-long learners. They grow up to become strong leaders, problem-solvers and independent thinkers. SMA provides this experience with certified teachers to guide and inspire children with a truly personalized education, developing the workforce of the future and contributing members of society. We believe that nature and outdoor exploration plays a critical role in children’s development.
This is an exciting time for growth at our school and we are excited to expand the education options for Southwest Fort Wayne. To meet the demand for our expansion and to address the desires of the community for Montessori Toddler and Elementary programs, we are holding our seventh fundraiser:
“Happy Birthday, SMA! Cheers to 10 Years” The Charles on Carroll Rd.

The funds raised will go towards obtaining a larger space and expanding our grade offerings to meet the needs of our growing enrollment. We expect to have over 100 community members join us at the event.
We would greatly appreciate any act of generosity that would help us realize our vision of teaching and inspiring the leaders of tomorrow. All donors will be prominently featured in our donor listing.

A donation form is attached. Simply fill it out and return by mail, email, or in person, and we’ll handle everything. We would appreciate receiving any donations prior to April 14, 2023.
