Since 1995, Special Olympics Northern California has been providing inclusive sport, education, health and leadership opportunities for children and adults with intellectual disabilities at no cost to the athletes and their families. Special Olympics uses sport as a stage to foster a community of inclusion and empower our athletes’ success far beyond the playing field.
By competing in sports, Special Olympics athletes have continued opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy, and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills, and friendship with their families, other Special Olympic athletes, and the community.
