Special Olympics uses the universal appeal of sport to bring people together and provide opportunities to be connected, get and stay physically active and fit, address health challenges and have fun.
But at its core, Special Olympics is an organization that uses that power of sport as a catalyst for social change - working to end discrimination and empower people with intellectual disabilities to reach their fullest potential on and off the playing field.
