Spring Branch Community Health Center (SBCHC) is a 501 c (3) non-profit, Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) dedicated to promoting public health through providing quality health services.

Eighteen years ago, a coalition of community supporters established SBCHC, taking strategic action to reduce area healthcare disparities. The clinic opened in May 2004 and by 2005 was designated a Federally Qualified Health Center. In December 2012, SBCHC joined the elite 10% of national FQHCs that hold both Joint Commission Gold Seal Accreditation and Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) certifications. SBCHC recognizes the various social determinants of health that adversely affect the residents in our service area, and actively works to connect our patients to supportive enabling services, which we ourselves offer, or which they can access through community partners and public assistance programs.  SBCHC is now the primary FQHC in West and Northwest Houston/Harris County, and currently operates eight health centers and two Mobile Health Units to provide culturally competent, linguistically appropriate, patient-centered, high-quality comprehensive medical, dental, and behavioral health services to low-income and uninsured patients regardless of their ability to pay.
