Our school is located in rual Clackamas County Oregon. We serve 200 kindergarten through 8th grade children each school year. As a public charter school, we only receive 80% of the funding that a traditional public school receives. To make up the other 20% we depend on various fundraising events and help from generous companies like you.
Our school mission to let children learn in the environment and let their own natrual curiousity lead them. Our school focuses on environmental science and stweardship. We also teach the tradition classes and are lucky enough to have things like an artist in residence, a school garden and weekely garden class, PE daily, and every other week friday field studies. Our school is on 5 acres but is surounded by 25 acres on metro owned protected forest that our students are allowed to have outdoor science class in.
We also believe our small class sizes and general sense of community are the key features that make our school a success. We firmly believe that everyone belongs and expect the students to treat each other with respect and dignity.
