The Oswego State University athletic department is a sponsor of the annual St. Baldrick's Day in Oswego County, a fundraiser for the St. Baldrick's Foundation, the world's largest non-government source of funding for childhood cancer research.
One of the biggest St. Baldrick's fundraisers in the world is right in Syrause - at Kitty Hoynes Pub. Our Oswego County event is considerably smaller, but we still manage to raise from $50,000-$90,000 each year (our 13 year total is approx $750,000).
Besides shaving heads in solidarity with sick kids, our event also offers raffle baskets and a silent auction, and we would love to have 5 Wits as a participating sponsor. We usually draw some 300-500 people for our annual event, and this would be a great way to contribute to life-saving research as well as advertise your business at Destiny USA.
