The mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is to advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. Consistent with the vision of our founder Danny Thomas, no child is denied treatment based on race, religion or a family's ability to pay. St. Jude serves industry leading research and advancement, not only in childhood cancer, but also within adult cancer as all research data is shared on breakthroughs and outcomes of said research.
This research is all a great impact across the globe as there are patients from multiple countries, as well as local and nation-wide patients being brought in for care. Through these innovations, childhood cancer went from 1 out 5 surviving in 1962, to 4 out of 5 surviving in 2024.
