The Lion's Share Food Pantry provides food to those in need, without regard to any other status. Our clients come from around the Roanoke Valley of Virginia. Nearly 100% of our clients qualify for TEFAP goods, because they also receive SNAP or Medicaid benefits or because their income falls below 185% of federal poverty guidelines.
In calendar year 2022 we served 460 households, representing 1324 individuals. Of these, 196 households included children and 142 included seniors. We are on track to at least double the number of clients served.
