WHO WE ARE
Robotics engineering is a branch of science that is on the rise. We want to be a part of that growth! In order to learn more, we started a rookie robotics team of Dallas- Ft. Worth, Texas area homeschoolers ages 11-13. Our team is a member of the FIRST LEGO League. (Team #64975)
OUR MISSION AND VALUES
FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) guides members each year by challenging teams to create creative solutions to real-world problems and program autonomous Lego robots to complete missions. Mathematics, science, engineering, creativity, and critical thinking are at the base of our program. Teamwork and fun are important aspects of our group. We uphold the Core Values of FLL! StarFire is proud to be led by women. Teaching both boys and girls that all are capable of success in STEM if we aren’t afraid to “fail well.” We hold tight to the inspiring words by Dean Kamen, founder of FIRST: “We're not using kids to build robots, but robots to build kids”
Our journey for the 24-25 season has been incredible, competing against 1,240 of the best teams (many large public school programs) in Texas earning 2nd place in Core Values. We are honored to be one of 96 teams worldwide invited to the FloridaSunshine Invitational in Daytona Beach, FL, an exclusive event showcasing top-performing teams from across the globe offering a platform for innovation, collaboration, and the highest level of STEM competition. This event brings students together from across the globe. This is a prestigious opportunity to represent our community and Texas at an international level and thus we need to fundraise and parter with donors to get there and continue to fund and grow our program into the future.

By partnering with us, you are investing in the future of STEM education, supporting local youth innovation and gaining valuable visibility in the FIRST Robotics communities. As a thank you for your tax-deductible donation, all donors will be featured on our website at www.starfirerobotics.org as well as given a shout out on our social media channels in addition to signage at the event. For sponsorships valued over $250 there are additional perks including being include in our PIT materials and on our competition uniforms.
