Stepping Stones' mission is "people helping people strengthen the Dunn County coommunity by providing food, shelter and support. This is accomplished throug our three programs: the Food Pantry profides food and personal care items to low income residents of Dunn County; the Stepping Stones Shelter Progfram provides shelter, housing assistance and case management to enable clients to secure permanent housing; and the Community Connections Program provides emergency financial assistance for basic needs such heat and electicity, gas and uncovered medical expenses. This program also connects volunteers to people in need of services such as transportation, seasonal yard work, and small home repairs. Stepping Stones has been serving the community for over 30 years and assists approximately 5,000 Dunn County residents annually. The agency has a small staff, is governed by a board of directors and depends on a host of community volunteers to assist in providing program services.
