Sterling Public Schools is the public school system for the city of Sterling, IL. It is a PreK thru 12th-grade unit district of approximately 3500 students, configured into six different buildings. Franklin Elementary and Jefferson Elementary serve as the district's two PreK thru 2nd-grade learning centers, while Washington Elementary and Lincoln Elementary house grades 3rd through 5th. We have recently renovated Challand Middle School, which enrolls all our district's 6th through 8th-grade students. Sterling High School is an extremely picturesque campus that accommodates many successful 9th through 12th grade academic, fine arts, and athletic programs.
