Students whose families face financial hardship, however, are confronted with unique challenges, and often they do not have the same high school experience as their classmates. Even worse, for financially under-resourced or first-generation students, college can feel out of reach and only 5% will ultimately earn a degree.
The Stevenson Foundation is committed to ensuring that all students can succeed at SHS and beyond. Our core programs provide crucial assistance and opportunities to under-resourced students and their families.
This year alone, the Foundation’s One Family program is providing daily breakfast, toiletries, co-curricular support, and wellness resources to 319 students. Our Stevenson to College (S2C) program will equip 54 ambitious students with the mentoring and support they need to make it to college, persevere, and earn their life-changing degrees.
