Streatscapes will engage in charitable activities and promoting the arts in Streator, Illinois. The all-volunteer organization shall work to preserve and improve the vitality and appearance of our city by funding public art installations and other beautification projects in public areas.
Streatscapes shall promote the arts by sponsoring public art, mural festivals, arts festivals, theater groups, concerts, and programs to encourage young people to develop their talents are covered.
StreatScapes will sponsor events and activities that may include;
- Historic Mural Festival
- Historic wall mural sponsorship, promotion, and maintenance
- Public Art installation
- Educational heritage events with a focus on promotion and expansion of arts exposure opportunities within the community.
- Workshops and interactive activities promoting interest and action in the arts to build community wide interest, which, in turn, will provide vital community support.
- Other arts and cultural events which work to provide our community with opportunities to experience art as permitted under IRC 501(c)(3) for charitable and educational organizationsStreatScapes will cooperate with City government in community development activities which may include one or more of the following:
StreatScapes will promote and assist in city beautification projects and will participate in the planning and development of public interest projects.
StreatScapes will promote and assist in the development, education, and planning of public art projects.
