We are looking to raise $10,000 for Dining in the Dark, the Rosenberg School of Optometry’s annual fundraiser to benefit mission trip outreach locally, stateside, and abroad to serve medically underprivileged areas.
Rosenberg School of Optometry fervently believes in our mission of “excellence in education, patient care and vision research.” This is achieved in an environment committed to “personal growth within a context of faith, human dignity and social justice.” Our organization, SVOSH, carries out our school’s mission through action in planning and hosting various mission trip outreach events. Rosenberg School of Optometry has aided in many efforts that include medical mission trips to the Texas Rio Grande Valley and most recently, our efforts have brought us back to Oaxaca, Mexico. SVOSH is dedicated to providing uncompensated comprehensive eye care and spectacles to needy communities. All money raised in our efforts will go toward the funding of future mission trips within the United States and internationally.
