The Suffern High School Crew Booster Club (SHSCBC), which is a parent support organization, is requesting support on behalf of the Suffern High School Crew team, a public school team. The Booster Club was started to work closely with the Suffern High School administration to support the development of a top tier crew program. Over the years, the SHSCBC organization has grown in size and depth of support activities. SHSCBC established a website (www.sufferncrew.org), adopted by-laws, received tax- exempt status, and purchased a regatta trailer. SHSCBC’s parent board is a 7-member board (3 member elected Executive Board) that meets year round to fundraise, create an annual budget and plan for in-season athlete support.
The mission of the Suffern Crew Booster Club is to:
Support the efforts and continued growth of the Suffern Crew Team in general;
Provide support and boost morale at races and other events, with a particular emphasis on feeding the team;
Ensure that the team has the needed infrastructure for its comfort and safety at regattas—including shelter (tents) and food;
Raise funds for the team’s use, for equipment, gear, food, or activities as needed.
